1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CapMap ("the Service"), operated at capmap.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CapMap is an interactive technology capability knowledge graph designed for AI-era entrepreneurs. The Service provides a visual, explorable map of technology stacks, tools, and skills organized into knowledge domains. Users can explore the map, track their skill mastery, and access curated learning resources.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Upload malicious content or code
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service without permission
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by CapMap and protected by intellectual property laws. The knowledge graph data, curated resources, and tool recommendations are proprietary content. You retain ownership of any personal data and skill tree progress you create within the Service.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create within the Service, including your skill tree configurations, notes, and mastery progress. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Free and Paid Services

CapMap offers both free and paid tiers. Free users can explore the public skill tree in read-only mode. Registered users receive additional features including personal skill trees and progress tracking. Premium features, if offered, will be clearly described with their pricing before purchase. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

8. Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with a paid subscription, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Refund requests should be sent to support@capmap.ai. After the 14-day period, subscriptions are non-refundable but can be cancelled at any time to prevent future charges.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. The information provided through CapMap, including tool recommendations and learning paths, is for educational purposes and should not be considered professional advice.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
